Beautiful Loosers

Beautiful Losers film trailer from beautifullosersfilm on Vimeo.

Have known about this movie for a while now, but haven no idea where I can see it. I randomly stumbled upon the trailer again, which has gotten me on the hunt to find somewhere where I can see it. If you know by any chance where I can, holler.

PS22 Chorus

Just found about these kids, and am like in awe, of how awesome this chorus is. Besides the choruses rendition of "Don't Stop Believing", they also have a video of them singing "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, and one of Coldplay and Bjork as well. To make me love these kids even more and Passion Pitt, the chorus had recorded with them for their album Manners. So those little voices you hear in their songs are no doubt kids.

Here's a link to PS22 blog. As well the post with Passion Pit.

Girl Talk ver. 2.0

Saying this guy (E-603) is Girl Talk 2.0 isn't me bashing him, it's just that what hes making is the same thing that Girl Talk has been doing; mashing up hip-hop and rap with obverse proponents, from Vanessa Carlton to Franz Ferdinand. E-603's mashups are really good and you can jam out hard to them. Listen to Lights Out, and if anyone can tell me what the beat is from the beginning to If You Wanna I can stop racking my brain. Thanks.

Marion Bolognesi

Marion Bolognesi
series "eyes" is probably one of the coolest ideas I have seen using water color.

Nike Zoom Toki

Just found these. The Nike Zoom Toki's were released in February. They are a cross between a Nike Blazer and the Nike Air Sabaku. The Toki's have a distinct look to a chukka boot, but with a more sportswear feel. They have just released two more colors to the collection, lemon yellow and gray, both of which are canvas, not perforated.

Movie Trailer Monday

broke

Recession shmession. Regardless of how little money I have, I will always want shit that I cannot afford. So until I become wealthy and successful [yes, shallow] I can settle on looking at them through the my computer screen.

Discovery

Every once in a while I find a band where I freak out just listening to them, and Discovery is one of those bands. Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend, and Wes Miles of Ra Ra Riot have created music genius. From the lyrics, to the synth-pop choruses, I can't get enough. I am counting down the days till their LP comes out, July 7. Until then check out their myspace, and you can find more of their songs on hype machine.

Treasure Fingers x NASA

This remix of NASA's hit single, Gifted ft. Kanye West, Santigold, and Lykke Li, is intense. You should be able to still download it if you check out the Fool's Gold blog, but today is the last day, so get on it.

Focale 44 Fixed Gear

It's funny, for these bikes only being a frame, pedals, a chain, tires, seat, and handle bars, they are really danm expensive. I have yet to jump on the fixed gear mania, but I do like how they look, clean and simple. I honestly think this whole fixed gear craze will blow over, and everyone will be rockin huge, bulky, obnoxious, mountain bikes. Just give it some time.

Focale 44 is the new “fixie” brand from French BMX company - Superstar et St Martin (BMX Groupment). The first range of bikes and parts features two complete bikes, frame/fork kits and selected parts.

deffinatley can't do this.

Amazing slow-mo shot.

collab

Just did a collaboration with a guy I just met online, Ben England. Found him through artst. His stuff is really good, reminds me of a mix between KAWS and dalek.

Besides knowing that my car might finally be up and running by tomrrow, seeing this has made my day. The reaction of the people in the store is hilarious, they look freaked the fuck out.

Dispatchwork

Here's a series where artist Jan Vormmann has replaced the crumbling bricks of buildings with lego blocks. The idea is genius, and makes you remember how awesome legos still are.

Pretty sweet compilation of youtube videos. Playing them at any time no matter which one it is, it sounds like a song. Thank for you who ever had enough time to find this.

La Ballon Rouge

Remake of Albert Lamorisse's "La Ballon Rouge" (The Red Balloon). The video is accompanied by Grizzly Bear's new single, "Two Weeks", from their amazing new album "Veckatimest."
